The EvenFlo Ellipsa was a ground-up design and engineering effort. The fold geometry began with simple cardboard and pin mockups which were then transferred to Pro/Engineer. Many engineering features like cable-actuated lock-outs, safety latches, infinitely back rests were incorporated into the design. Parts were designed from injection molded plastics, CNC bent tubing, and steel weldments.
